Parent’s Day Out
Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
“Behold, children are a gift from the Lord.” Psalm 127:3
Safety To provide a protected environment, proper supervision, sturdy equipment and adequate facilities.
Health A balanced program that permits rest periods, furnishes exercise, and gives special attention to a clean environment where good hygiene is practiced.
Self-Confidence The staff demonstrates and teaches love, acceptance, security, self-respect, and trust to help the child gain a feeling of self worth and individual recognition of who he is becoming.
Creative Experience A wide variety of material and activities will encourage discoveries of the child’s world and permit expression of feelings and ideas. He will also be able to think and make choices for himself.
Moral & Spiritual Development A foundation will be laid for a lifelong pilgrimage of experiencing God in all of life and knowing His meaning and purpose in life. The child will experience God’s love through loving relationships with other children and with adults. He will also enjoy happy times at church.
Our Parent’s Day Out program provides a unique ministry to parents who stay at home with their preschoolers. Our program provides parents a few hours away from their children for shopping, doctor appointments, volunteer work, part-time jobs, recreation or involvement in church activities. In today’s society, grandparents and other relatives often live in distant communities and cannot assist young families with child-care responsibilities, so, our program will also provide a support system by insuring quality child care. Our program will not only ensure quality care, but also provide a good teaching program in which teachers plan activities to meet the special physical, mental, social and spiritual needs of each child.

Listed below is the order of Registration:
Those children who are currently enrolled will register first. After that siblings of children who were in the program but did not participate in the current year may register. We then do church membership and then we are open to the public. Once all rooms are full, we begin a waiting list. Please note that our waiting list is purged every year and we begin a new one in the spring for our Fall Semester. Just contact our PDO office at the end of February to find out dates of registration for each year. (We do try to go by our waiting list as much as possible, but there are occasions when the Director must make decisions that may affect the order on the list.)
Our curriculum provides a specific topic for each unit. The sequence of topics is developmental in emphasis as teachers build foundations and plan seasonal activities. Teachers often share songs, stories, teaching pictures, Bible thoughts, and conversation as they provide activities in the areas of art, blocks, books, puzzles, nature, music and home living. Some topics may include making friends, safety, feelings, and caring for pets.
